Digital background business headshots in London
Finders International Ltd are probate genealogists who identify and trace heirs to estates, property, and assets across the world. Their dedicated team of expert researchers operates internationally, using advanced tools and extensive networks to solve even the most complex cases of missing heirs and unknown next of kin.
In 2025, Finders International underwent a major rebrand to modernise their image. This included a new logo, a refreshed colour palette, and a more contemporary look and feel for the business. And as part of that transformation, they wanted to update their photography, which is where I came in!
The Brief
As part of their rebrand, Finders International wanted fresh new headshots for the entire team. Not only for their sleek new website but also to help staff elevate their professional presence on LinkedIn.
With a growing team of over 100 people spread across offices in London, Dublin, Edinburgh, and Hull, this was no small task!
A key part of the brief was consistency. They wanted a look that could be easily replicated as new team members joined. Ensuring every headshot felt cohesive and on-brand.
The desired aesthetic? Relaxed and approachable. With warm, natural tones that reflected their new coral and aubergine brand colours, rather than a clean, overly corporate look.

The Shoot
The shoot took place over three days at their London head office, where, I set up my pop-up photography studio in the boardroom.
Their marketing team organised a carefully planned schedule, each person had ten minutes in front of the camera. That time window is ideal. Long enough to capture a range of poses and make sure everyone is happy with their final image. And short enough to keep the energy fresh.
Initially, I photographed everyone against a clean, pure white background. The exact opposite of the final look we were going for…

But that was just step one.
The final images were transformed into soft, warm, environmental headshots, using their office as a subtle backdrop.

Behind the Scenes: Creating the Final Look
Once all the portraits were taken, I photographed various spaces around the London office. These images were then used to create a digital background.
I carefully cut out each headshot and blended it onto the new backdrop. Achieving the relaxed, modern look the client wanted, with tones that perfectly complemented their rebrand colours.

Why this approach works
Shooting this way gives the client far more flexibility and longevity from their photos.
They now have:
- The original white-background headshots
- The digital office background versions
- The ability to place their images onto any future brand backdrop

As their team continues to grow, they can simply photograph new members against a white background, wherever they are, and seamlessly add them to the same digital backdrop. Even years later, the images will still match perfectly.
It’s efficient, cost-effective, and completely scalable.
A win–win for the client. And a great example of how digital photography can be used to its full advantage.
“IF ONLY GOOGLE REVIEWS HAD 10 STARS!
Ally is the perfect blend of all my favourite qualities in a colleague: insanely talented, personable yet professional, & knows when she needs to be proactive & organised, or reactive & flexible.
I had the pleasure of working with her on a major brand shoot & a series of corporate headshots following a rebrand; two projects that required slightly different approaches.
Ally nailed them both, and then some. She leaned into our brief with relish & equally, found ways to add her own flair to make our imagery come to life.
Our corporate headshots are among the best I’ve seen; no doubt because Ally was so great at putting our entire team at ease throughout the day. I’m already looking for my next excuse to work with her – and you should be, too!”
