Lauren’s business, Back to Fitness Sports Therapy provides sports & general injury treatments to a wide range of clients. Not just athletes & sports enthusiasts! Whilst her study included a lot of sports-specific injuries, ultimately she deals with all musculoskeletal injuries.
In her words:
“…Sports Therapy is an aspect of healthcare that is specifically concerned with the prevention of injury and the rehabilitation of the patient back to optimum levels of functional, occupational and sports-specific fitness, regardless of age and ability.
It utilises the principles of sport and exercise science incorporating physiological and pathological processes to prepare the participant for training, competition and where applicable, work.”

I spent a day with Lauren capturing images of her treating a number of different clients with differing ailments. It was fascinating to watch her at work. I learned all about cupping therapy, dry needling & a range of soft tissue release techniques! Just a few of the many treatments she offers.
