How does Send & Shoot Product Photography work?

Drop me a line. We’ll arrange a video consultation to chat about your requirements. I will send you a full quote & a breakdown of costs. A 50% deposit is payable before the shoot. The balance is due on the delivery of the images.

You send me your products.

Please include sufficient packaging for the safe return of your items. You can also send any props that you would like included in your photos.

We’ll share a Pinterest Board to collaborate on styling ideas. This helps me to get a feel for what you like.

I shoot your products in my home studio. Photography, styling & editing are all included in the price so you can simply sit back & relax!

I have a variety of backdrops & props available, however, if you require a background or prop that I don’t keep in stock, I can source these for you.

The photos are uploaded to a private online gallery. You can download & use them immediately.

You receive them in high resolution for print use & low resolution for web use. Turnaround time is usually seven days from the date of the shoot.

Your products are repacked in the original packaging & sent back to you by registered post.

Product Photography Pricing

As a small business, costs matter. I quote on a shoot-by-shoot basis because I know that one size does not always fit all. I create the photos YOU need to sell YOUR products. Your products are unique to you & so your quote is unique to you.

During an initial phone conversation, you can tell me all about your brand & your products. When I understand a little more about your business, what it is you sell, who you sell to & how you sell, I can then give you a full – no-obligation – quote & breakdown of costs.

You can then decide whether you want to proceed exactly as quoted or whether you need to tweak your requirements slightly to adjust costs.

Pricing depends on several things; the number of products, the number of different backgrounds, settings & styles you require, whether you need any specific backgrounds or props sourcing & how long the shoot will take.

Product Photography FAQs

What products do you shoot?

I work with lots of different genres of small businesses. Homeware, cosmetics, gifts, candles, food, cakes (if I get to eat them after the shoot I won’t charge for return postage!), clothing, stationery… The list goes on!

My home studio is small. Send & Shoot is for product ranges that can be sent in the post.

Please contact me for a bespoke quote for larger products.

What styles of product photography are available?

Lifestyle

I predominantly shoot lifestyle product photos suitable for use on social media & online marketplaces. This style puts your item into context & helps customers imagine how your product would fit in with their daily life.

Flat Lay

The items are arranged on a flat surface & shot from above. This style is popular for its versatility & is perfect for adding quotes, information, or advertising banners on top of it.

Pack Shots

The standard style for e-commerce photography is a plain white background. Many major online retailers use a white background to showcase products in their online stores.

Detail

Close-up shots help to reveal the subtle little details that make your product unique. We can also group your products together to show the whole range.

Here is a link to a blog post I wrote that explains the different styles of product photography.

How many products can I send?

The amount varies on the products, styling & number of shots required for each item. When enquiring please include as much information as possible & then I can provide you with a more accurate estimate.

When & how will I receive my product photos?

The average turnaround is two weeks from the date of the shoot to the delivery of the final images. You will receive a link to a private online gallery from which you can download the photos.

Where do I send my products?

When a booking is made I provide an address.
