At the end of January, I photographed the launch of the new MyPT The Gym. In many ways, it was the perfect shoot for me combining my two loves; photography + fitness under the guise of ‘event photography’.
In the heart of Croydon, MyPT The Gym is a luxury gym combining personal training & nutritional coaching. They say they will “revolutionise the way you work out forever”. The launch, organised by White Label Creative, was a glamorous affair. Less sportswear, more partywear. Less protein shakes, more wine! VIP guests enjoyed speeches, a tour of the gym, exercise demos & lots of laughter.
Here are a few of my favourite photos from the night.
In case you were wondering, yes I did try lifting a few weights & no, I didn’t get any photos of it! Carrying around my cameras is usually enough weight-lifting for me!
How can event photography help a business?
If you are holding an event; the launch of a new business or product; a conference or an awards ceremony, photography is a fantastic marketing tool for engaging with your clients.
A professional photographer will document the event & provide you with photos that can be used to report on it’s success & also to promote future events. Documenting your event is key to effective marketing.
How can you use your event photos?
- To accompany a morning-after press release showing clients & competitors how successful your launch, conference, awards ceremony or other event was.
- In a magazine article about your brand & the event you hosted.
- In blog posts on your own & industry websites to garner interest in your brand.
- On social media to encourage sharing & engagement with people who attended the event & potential future clients & attendees.
- To promote your next event.
